This position is for Manufacturing Company.
Summary: Individual will be responsible for conducting new product market research and foreseeing market trends in the field. He/she will prepare necessary business and technical information for the company to design new products, or to modify existing products suitable for the US market place, as well as market them properly. Individual will help to develop marketing strategy for the company and its affiliated business units by researching market data and analyzing consumer`s needs. Helps in planning and participating various research projects. Helps with coordinating product test and certification programs with regulatory agencies. Duties and Responsibilities: ` Assists with conducting market research on development projects. Analyzes market trends and potential. Develops sales product marketing strategy regarding developing new, environmentally friendly products for the U.S. market place. Prepares sales forecasts and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions. ` Articulates market needs and converts information to product/engineering design specifications. ` Assists with conducting new product field tests, analyzing the results and writing the final report. ` Assists with coordinating the product test/certification activities in the U.S. ` Plans for new product launching. Coordinates activities with other departments, such as engineering and product development, including providing continuous follow up of major projects. ` Generates written documents such as White Papers, reports, and similar items. ` Provides market research and competitor analyses. Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities. ` Develop methods for field testing programs to determine public acceptance. ` Establishes and maintains key relationships with industry influencers and strategic partners to increase market visibility. ` Performs other related job duties as assigned.
Qualifications: ` Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or related fields. Business or Marketing major with strong engineering concentration would be helpful. ` 5+ year engineering experience within an HVAC environment. OEM product design (air conditioning system, heat pump, chiller, space heating equipment, etc.) or building HVAC system experience preferred. ` Bi-lingual (Japanese-English) is strongly desired. ` Solid understanding of fundamentals of mechanical/electrical/control systems in the HVAC field. ` Should understand concepts of brand development, market segmentation, pricing, promotion, channel strategies, market research, direct marketing, and product development/introduction. ` Computer proficiency required. ` Must be a strong team player, but be able to think independently. Knowledge/Skills Required: ` Ability to develop, articulate and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and plans. ` Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures. ` Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. ` Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills. ` Ability to interact effectively with customers, consultants and internal personnel. ` Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, clients and customers. ` Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues. ` Ability to think ahead and plan over a 5-10 year time span. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: ` Required regularly to sit, talk, and listen. ` Required to stand, walk, use hands to pick up, handle or feel and reach with arms. ` Ability to read and analyze written information on a computer terminal. Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are necessary. ` Must be able to travel on business or work beyond normal work hours as necessary. ` Must be able to lift boxes and/or equipment of up to 25 pounds. ` Working Conditions -noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
